Beginning January 1, 2027, the American Medical Association (AMA) will unbundle the global obstetric CPT codes for prenatal visits, delivery, and postpartum care. This presentation reviews the changes and highlights how Medicaid and Title V can jointly support providers and families, including lessons from Iowa Medicaid's state-initiated unbundling in 2025.
